How to use the Greek keyboard

Click or tap any key to add that character to the text box.

On a computer you can also type on your physical keyboard. The keys follow the standard Greek layout, so pressing A gives α and pressing D gives δ. The small grey character on a key shows the matching key on a US English keyboard. Untick “Type Greek with my physical keyboard” to go back to your keyboard's normal letters.

When you are done, press Copy and paste the text into an email, a document or a chat. The “Search with” buttons open Google, YouTube, Wikipedia or Google Translate with what you typed.

The Greek alphabet on this keyboard

The accent (tonos) is typed in two steps. Press the accent key to the right of L, shown in colour, then the vowel: accent then a gives ά. With Shift the same key gives the dialytika, so ¨ then i gives ϊ.

The Greek question mark looks like a semicolon and is on the Q key.
