How to use the Polish keyboard
Click or tap any key to add that character to the text box.
On a computer you can also type on your physical keyboard. The keys follow the Polish (Programmers) keyboard used in Poland: hold AltGr and press A for ą or L for ł. The small grey character on a key shows the matching key on a US English keyboard. Untick “Type Polish with my physical keyboard” to go back to your keyboard's normal letters.
When you are done, press Copy and paste the text into an email, a document or a chat. The “Search with” buttons open Google, YouTube, Wikipedia or Google Translate with what you typed.
Polish letters on this keyboard
The Polish keyboard is the US layout with the nine Polish letters on AltGr: ą on A, ć on C, ę on E, ł on L, ń on N, ó on O, ś on S, ż on Z and ź on X.
Add Shift for capitals: Shift + AltGr + L gives Ł. Caps works for the Polish letters too.
AltGr + U gives the euro sign €. As on Windows, ~ is an accent key: press ~ and then a letter such as l to get ł.

Do I need to install anything?
No. The keyboard runs in your browser and works without changing any settings on your computer or phone.
How do I type ą, ę, ł and the other Polish letters?
Hold AltGr (the right Alt key) and press the plain letter: A for ą, E for ę, L for ł. ź is on X, because ż is on Z.
Why is it called Polish (Programmers)?
It is the name of the standard Polish keyboard in Windows: the US layout with the Polish letters on AltGr. Almost everyone in Poland uses it; the older Polish (214) typewriter layout is rare.
Can I use the on-screen keyboard without a right Alt key?
Yes. Click AltGr on the screen, then the letter.
Is my text saved or sent anywhere?
Your text is kept only in your own browser so it is still there if you reload the page. It is not sent to us. Press Clear to remove it. If you use a “Search with” button, your text is sent to that site as a search.
