How to use the Turkish keyboard
Click or tap any key to add that character to the text box.
On a computer you can also type on your physical keyboard. The keys follow the Turkish Q keyboard, so the key to the right of P gives ğ and the key to the right of L gives ş. The small grey character on a key shows the matching key on a US English keyboard. Untick “Type Turkish with my physical keyboard” to go back to your keyboard's normal letters.
When you are done, press Copy and paste the text into an email, a document or a chat. The “Search with” buttons open Google, YouTube, Wikipedia or Google Translate with what you typed.
Turkish letters on this keyboard
Turkish uses the Latin alphabet with six extra letters. ğ and ü are the two keys to the right of P, ş and i the two to the right of L, and ö and ç the two to the right of M.
Turkish has two letters i. The I key types the dotless ı, whose capital is I. The key to the right of ş types the dotted i, whose capital is İ. Shift and Caps both follow these Turkish rules.
AltGr shows the third layer, with @ on Q, € on E and the Turkish lira sign ₺ on T. Shift + 3 is the circumflex accent key, for words such as kâr: press it, then the vowel.
